A new year in the garden
It is Spring and I am really enjoying all the wonderful flowers that are blooming. This morning I found a large bed of wild prairie trillium in the woodland walk. I had seen a few at Starved Rock this weekend, but this was a real surprise.
I made a beautiful bouquet of daffodils, tulips, grape hyacinths and bleeding hearts for the wall vase in the kitchen. I love all the bright colors and shapes.
This has been a long spring with lots of cold and rain, but the flowers are growing like crazy, especially the bleeding hearts.
I was reading my blog from last spring and now that Becky does have her own home, I can't wait to share some of my plants with her.
